Terms of service
Last updated 2026-10-20
These terms cover your purchase and use of Snipaya, a screenshot annotation app for macOS, and this website. By buying or using Snipaya you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Who we are
Snipaya is developed and sold by Krzysztof Surdy ("we", "us"). You can reach us through the contact form or at [email protected].
Purchases
Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, invoicing and applicable sales taxes, and its own terms apply to the checkout. Prices are shown on this website and at checkout. A purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription.
License
When you buy Snipaya you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs that you own or control. You may not:
- resell, rent, sublicense or publicly share your license or license key;
- reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows it;
- remove or bypass license checks or other technical protections.
The app, its name and its artwork remain our property. The license is not a sale of the software.
Free trial
The trial lets you evaluate Snipaya before buying. It may be limited in time or features, and it is provided as is.
Updates
Snipaya can update itself automatically. We may add, change or remove features over time. We aim to keep the app working on supported versions of macOS but cannot guarantee compatibility with every future macOS release.
Your content
Your screenshots and project files belong to you. Snipaya processes them on your Mac. You are responsible for what you capture and share, including making sure you have the right to share it and that redaction has covered everything you need hidden. Auto-redaction is a helpful tool, not a guarantee; always review an image before you share it.
Third-party services
Snipaya can send images to services you choose and configure, such as image hosts, issue trackers, wikis or an AI assistant connected over MCP. Those services are run by third parties under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them.
Refunds
Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, Snipaya is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of Snipaya. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory consumer rights.
Termination
Your license ends automatically if you break these terms. You can stop using the app at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in force at the time of your purchase apply to that purchase.
